Could you feel at home in a stable? He did. Church noun A building for public and especially Christian worship. Home noun A familiar or usual setting; friendly environment. Family noun A group of individuals living under one roof. (Webster's Dictionary, 9th Edition) A Gallup survey showed that a majority of Americans want to be attending church regularly, but many do not feel they have a church home. Being a person of faith today is difficult and there's no one way to do it. We at Holy Family support one another in our journey towards wholeness and in our quest to know and do the right thing. At Church of the Holy Family, singles and families, young and old, mix easily together. Some of us were born on farms in this area and have lived here all our lives, while others are transplants from all over the world. Worship. Our worship reflects the Episcopal tradition. Because we find God both in Scripture and Sacrament, former Protestants and Roman Catholics alike find that our worship is both personal and awe-filled. But, we believe God wants us to worship and have fun. We are not stuffy! As Episcopalians we look equally to scripture and tradition to give us guidance in the decisions of our daily lives. We believe that each Christian makes those decisions for themselves within the context of Christian community. We respect those individual decisions. Independence and diversity are as important to us as are scripture and tradition. Our Church. We worship in a building that was originally constructed as a stable and carriage house early in this century. And we have maintained the rustic flavor of a barn and its rural setting, making it a particularly warm and welcoming building. Since everything is on one level, it is very convenient for those with disabilities. If you are someone without a church home, we invite you to visit ours. Perhaps, like us, you'll feel that you have finally come home and found your church family.
